Titans Could Have Interest In RB Trent Richardson

After speaking to a source, Terry McCormick mentions that he wouldn’t be surprised to see the Titans show interest in former first-round RB Trent Richardson once he clears waivers.

The writing was on the wall for Richardson and his time in Indianapolis, especially after the team suspended him two games, which voided the remaining guarantees in his contract.

Richardson, 24, has been a huge bust since the Browns in return for the former No. 3 overall pick back in 2012.

Cleveland was smart to get a first-round pick for him after just one year in the league. Although, that pick was used on QB Johnny Manziel, so the jury’s still out on whether they’ll actually recoup any value from that pick.

In 2014, he ran for 519 yards on 159 carries (3.3 YPC) to go along with 27 receptions for 229 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 29 running back out of 57 qualifying players.
