Titans Could Target Steelers OLB Jason Worilds In Free Agency?

Paul Kuharsky of ESPN writes that the Titans could target Steelers free agent OLB Jason Worilds now that they’ve added Dick LeBeau to their defensive coaching staff.

Last year, the Steelers placed their transition tag on Worilds, which paid him a salary of $9.754 million for the 2014 season.

However, there is a better chance this year that Worilds will reach the open market, and Kuharsky expects the Titans to be among the interested teams.

Tennessee will still need to make a decision regarding Derrick Morgan, who will also be an unrestricted free agent, but Worilds seems like a solid replacement if they allow Morgan to sign elsewhere.

Worilds, 26, appeared in all 16 games for the Steelers this past season and recorded 59 tackles, 7.5 sacks, one interception, a forced fumble and two recoveries.

Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 11 outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense out of 46 qualifying players. We have Worilds listed as the No. 14 player in our Top 75 Free Agents list.
