Titans Hosted QB Blaine Gabbert For Visit

Adam Schefter reports that the Titans brought in free agent QB Blaine Gabbert for a visit on Tuesday.

This is the first reported interest in him since the free agent market officially opened.

The Titans are clearly in the market for a backup quarterback this offseason after they released veteran Matt Cassel.

Gabbert, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2010. After three years in Jacksonville, he was traded to the 49ers in return for a sixth-round pick back in March of 2014.

Gabbert played out the final year of his two-year, $4 million contract before eventually signing a one-year, $855,000 contract with the Cardinals last year.

He’s currently testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

In 2017, Gabbert has appeared in five games and thrown for 1,086 yards while completing 55.6 percent of his passes to go along with six touchdowns and six interceptions. He has also rushed for 82 yards.
