ESPN’s Adam Schefter mentioned on this morning’s SportCenter that the Tennessee Titans could “make a run” at signing DE Mario Williams.
Schefter adds that the Patriots are “unlikely” to come close to his asking price but believes that the Titans could come close to his contract demands.
They’ve already mentioned that they’re looking to find some additional talent at the defensive end position and Williams could go back to playing 4-3 defensive end instead of the 3-4 outside linebacker position that he played last year for the Texans.
Seattle has been rumored to be the favorite to land Williams but a number of teams have been mentioned as possibilities so it’ll be interesting to see who steps up their pursuit as of 4pm EST tomorrow.
