Titans LB Avery Williamson Turned Down 4-Year, $12M Deal From TEN, Jets & Dolphins Interested

According to Dianna Russini, the Titans offered free agent LB Avery Williamson a four-year, $12 million contract but he turned it down,

Russini adds that the Jets and Dolphins are expected to have interest in Williamson in the coming days.

Williamson says he “definitely” wants to be back in Tennessee as long as things go right this offseason.

“It’s home for me. Tennessee is home. If everything goes right, man, definitely I want to be back,” said Williamson, via Cameron Wolfe of ESPN. “I told [Mike] Vrabel that too. There would be no point of even talking if I didn’t want to come back. It’s definitely cool playing for your hometown team. It’s a blessing.”

Williamson added that the Titans are interested in re-signing him.

They definitely want me back. [Titans general manager] Jon Robinson is about his business. They’re definitely going to make it a mission to get me back on the team,” Williamson said. “They’re going to try to get this team to the top.
