Titans Offered Peyton Manning $25 Million Per Season

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen reports that Tennessee Titans owner Bud Adams actually offered Peyton Manning $25 million per season to sign with his team, but Manning ultimately elected join the Broncos for only $19 million annually, via  Pro Football Talk.

During this time, the Titans were also rumored to be the highest bidder for Manning and were reportedly willing to offer him a lifetime role with the franchise.

$25 million annually is a ton of money to pass on, but Manning was clearly focused on organization as whole and understanding of the game. John Fox and John Elway where ultimately able to sway him towards Denver with more than just money.
