Titans Could Be An Option For ILB Karlos Dansby

Paul Kuharsky of ESPN.com writes that the Tennessee Titans could be an option to watch regarding Cardinals free agent ILB Karlos Dansby.

Kuharsky points to the fact that Ken Whisenhunt, who spent time with Dansby while in Arizona, is now the Titans new head coach and has added former Cardinals’ DC Ray Horton to run their defense.

Tennessee could use an upgrade at inside linebacker and the fact that Dansby is familiar with their defensive system should help his chances of signing with them.

The Titans met with D’Qwell Jackson last week, so they are clearly looking for some help at the position.

Cardinals HC Bruce Arians recently mentioned that they view re-signing Dansby is a “major priority” for them.

Last year, after being cut by the Miami Dolphins, Dansby found few suitors, and eventually signed a one-year deal worth $2.25 million with Arizona. He would go on to have a very productive season under Todd Bowles in which he totaled 135 total tackles, 6.5 sacks, and four interceptions.

NFL teams have been hesitant to give out big money to aging players like Dansby who is currently 32 years old, but he has definitely earned a pay raise.

We have him listed as the No. 29 player in our Top 50 Free Agents list.
