Mark Anderson Visiting Ravens

The Ravens will met with DE Mark Anderson at some point today, according to Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun.

Anderson would likely be asked to move to outside linebacker in the Ravens 3-4 defensive scheme but playing opposite of Terrell Suggs would present plenty of opportunity for him to have a big impact.

Anderson put together a great 2011 season for the after Patriots in which he recorded 10 sacks while playing defensive end.

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean mentions that you can remove the Titans from the list of suitors for DE Mark Anderson. The signing of  LB Kamerion Wimbley earlier in the day has basically filled the teams’ best need and Wyatt believes that “[Anderson] will be signing elsewhere.”

Anderson now becomes the top pass rushing specialist on the free agent market. With teams such as the Dolphins and Jaguars in need of a pass rusher, they could be his best options at this point but you can’t completely rule out the Patriots just yet. New England has said they would like to have Anderson back, but it may require him to give them a discount to do so.
