Titans Place LB Yannik Cudjoe-Virgil On I.R. & Promote LB J.R. Tavai

The Tennessee Titans officially placed LB Yannik Cudjoe-Virgil on season-ending injured reserve Saturday and promoted LB J.R. Tavai to their active roster.

There was talk that this move was likely to be made after Cudjoe-Virgil sustained an injury during practice this week.

Cudjoe-Virgil, 23, wound up signing on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Maryland shortly after this year’s draft. He was waived with the injury designation at the start of the season, but was later added to their practice squad.

His 2015 season comes to an end with him appearing in two games with recorded statistics.

Tavai, 22, wound up signing on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of USC following this year’s NFL draft. He was, unfortunately, among the team’s roster cuts at the beginning of the season.
