Titans Place OL Byron Bell On Injured Reserve, Sign WR Reece Horn

The Tennessee Titans announced Friday that they’ve placed veteran OL Byron Bell on the injured reserve list and signed WR Reece Horn to a contract, per Jim Wyatt.

This doesn’t come as a big surprise, considering that Bell was expected to miss the 2016 season after he sustained a dislocated left ankle a few weeks ago.

Bell, 27, originally signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of New Mexico back in 2011. He played out his rookie contract with the Panthers before signing a one-year, $2.25 million contract with the Titans back in March that included  $650,000 guaranteed.

Bell will now miss the 2016 season before testing the free agent market again in 2017.

In 2015, Bell appeared in all 16 games for the Titans and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 38 offensive tackle out of 77 qualifying players.

Horn wound up going undrafted out of the University of Indianapolis over a month ago. During his senior season, Horn caught 108 passes for 1,396 yards receiving and eight touchdowns.
