Titans Place QB Jake Locker On Season-Ending I.R.

The Tennessee Titans announced Monday that they have placed QB Jake Locker on season-ending injured reserve and signed QB Jordan Palmer to a contract.

This likely ends Locker’s time with the Titans.

It’s really been amazing to see how many injuries Locker has sustained since he entered the NFL back in 2010.

Locker, 26, is in the final year of his four-year, $12,586,002 rookie contract and will have made a base salary of $2,091,273 for the 2014 season.

The Titans elected to not pick up his fifth-year option several months ago, so he will be a free agent next March. There is a chance he could generate a decent amount of interest just based on the fact that there will be a lack of quality quarterback options on the open market.

Locker’s 2014 season ends with him throwing for 993 yards while completing 58.9 percent of his passes for five touchdowns and seven interceptions.
