Titans “Have No Plans” To Trade WR Kenny Britt

Titans HC Mike Munchak told reporters on Wednesday that they “have no plans” to trade struggling WR Kenny Britt, per Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean.

“Obviously, anything can happen,” Munchak said. “But he needs to help us win games, and hopefully that will be this weekend.”

Britt, 25, has had issues this season with dropped passes and other mental errors which has led the team to limit his playing time this season. On the year, Britt has totaled seven receptions for 59 yards and no touchdowns. In fact, ProFootballFocus has Britt as the lowest graded receiver in the league at No. 182.

Previous reports indicated that Britt is available and multiple teams have been in contact with the Titans regarding his availability, but Tennessee’s asking price is apparently too high. If the Titans were willing to accept a late-round pick in return for Britt, I’m sure something could be worked out with a receiver-needy team like the Lions. Other speculative options could include the Patriots, Falcons and 49ers.
