Titans Promote LB Nigel Harris, Place RB David Fluellen On IR

The Tennessee Titans announced Thursday that they’ve promoted LB Nigel Harris to their active roster and placed RB David Fluellen on injured reserve.

Harris, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.66 million contract with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of South Florida. Los Angeles waived him a few months into the season and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Giants.

Harris had brief stints with the Buccaneers and Cardinals before signing on to the Titans’ practice squad.

In 2017, Harris appeared in eight games and recorded 12 tackles and no sacks or interceptions.

Fluellen, 26, originally signed on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo back in May of 2014. He lasted a few months in Philadelphia before the Eagles traded him to the Colts in return for K Cody Parkey. Indianapolis cut Fluellen a few weeks later.

Since then, Fluellen has been on and off of the Titans’ roster.

In 2018, Fluellen has appeared in seven games for the Titans and rushed for 16 yards on four carries (4 YPC) and no touchdowns.
