Titans QB Jake Locker In Line To Start Sunday

ESPN’s Ed Werder tweets that Jake Locker was able to take all of the Titans first-team reps during this week’s practice and should start Sunday’s game against the Dolphins.

Titans quarterback Jake Locker will be wearing a protective harness under his pads on his non-throwing shoulder during Sunday’s game against the Dolphins, per Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean.

“I am not going to go out and play with any concerns, or anything in the back of my mind. I am just going to go out and play like I always have,” Locker said, via Wyatt “I am not going to worry about that, because if it’s going to happen it is inevitable. There is no way I can prevent it.”

The harness is for precautionary measures to insure his shoulder stays in place. Since it’s on his non-throwing shoulder, it really shouldn’t effect the way Locker plays in regards to making throws.

According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, Titans QB Jake Locker is expected to start on Sunday.

Head Coach Mike Munchak stated that Locker would start barring any sort of “mental or physical setback“.

Munchak also mentioned that Locker is “as healthy as he’s going to be” and that there would be “no difference in Locker physically” if he were to sit out another week or two.

Matt Hasselbeck had a rough game last Sunday, but that was unlikely a major contributor to the quarterback switch, considering that Munchak said that Locker would be the starter as soon as he was healthy a few weeks ago.
