Titans Starting Matt Hasselbeck For The Next Two Weeks?

Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean tweets that he expects the Titans to start Matt Hasselbeck for the next two weeks against the Vikings and Steelers.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported earlier that Hasselbeck is not expected to play this weekend, so it seems pretty clear that Locker is out for at least Week 5, barring an unforeseen change of events.

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak mentioned that Jake Locker is “day to day” after his left shoulder was popped out of place during Sunday’s loss to the Houston Texans, per Jim Wyatt.

Locker actually suffered a similar injury earlier in the season, but thankfully it wasn’t to his throwing arm. It’s hard to say at this point whether or not the Titans are considering sitting him out of Week 5’s game against the Minnesota Vikings and playing Matt Hasselbeck.

Munchak added that Locker is “sore” and wan’t sure if he would be able to practice this week.

Hasselbeck could see more reps in the coming days, but a decision probably won’t be made until later in the week. We’ll have more updates as the news becomes available.
