Titans RB Shonn Greene’s Roster Spot Not In Jeopardy Following Arrest

Paul Kuharsky of ESPN, citing a team source, reports that Titans RB Shonn Greene‘s roster status is not in jeopardy, despite the fact that he was arrested Friday night for multiple violations.

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reported earlier in the day that Greene was arrested Friday night on a handful of charges including: a handicap parking violation, driving on a revoked/suspended license, reckless driving and resisting stop/halt/frisk.

Green later turned himself in Friday night after learning there was a warrant out for his arrest, and was released after posting a $2,000 bond. As of now, his status for Week 8’s game against the Texans is unknown.

Greene, 29, signed a three-year, $10 million contract that included $4.5 million guaranteed with the Titans last year. He’ll make a base salary of $2.3 million this season and another $3.25 million next year.

So far this season, Greene has ran for 190 yards on 44 carries (4.3 YPC) and one touchdown over the course of five games.
