Titans Re-Sign TE Chase Coffman, Waive WR Rico Richardson

The Tennessee Titans have re-signed TE Chase Coffman to a contract on Monday, according to HC Ken Whisenhunt.

  • The Titans waived WR Rico Richardson to make room for Coffman.

Coffman, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals. He lasted a little over three years in Cincinnati before he later caught on with Falcons in 2012.

Coffman spent two years with the Falcons before he later signed on with the Titans as an unrestricted free agent in August of last year. However, he was released at the start of the regular before Tennessee elected to bring him back a few days later.

Tennessee cut Coffman this past weekend to make room for Richardson, who was promoted from practice squad.

This season, Coffman has appeared in one game and caught four passes for 42 yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Titans.
