Free Agent OLB Brian Orakpo Visiting With Cardinals After Titans

Free agent OLB Brian Orakpo tells Josina Anderson that there is a chance he’ll be playing for a new team in 2015.

Obviously you can’t get too emotional,” Orakpo said. “I’ve invested six years with Washington–good and bad. I’m not completely closing that door yet, but at the same time I have to face the reality there’s a chance I’ll be playing for a different team.”

Orakpo added that he is expected to meet with the Cardinals following his visit with the Titans on Wednesday, per Anderson.

John Keim confirms that that free agent OLB Brian Orakpo will be visiting with the Titans and adds that he also has a meeting lined up with the Cardinals.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Titans, Redskins, and Cardinals are still in the mix for OLB Brian Orakpo.

  • Charles Robinson previously reported that the Colts, Cardinals, and Redskins were teams to watch in regards to Orakpo.

Orakpo, 28, played out the 2014 season under the team’s franchise tag and is once again in line to be an unrestricted free agent. Last year, he made a salary of  $11.455 million.

In 2014, Orakpo recorded 24 tackles, a half sack and a pass defense over the course of seven games. We have him listed as the No. 28 player in our Top 100 Free Agents list.
