Titans Release WR Damore’ea Stringfellow From PS With Left Squad Designation

The Tennessee Titans officially released WR Damore’ea Stringfellow from their practice squad on Thursday with a left squad designation.

This typically means that a player has decided to retire from the NFL. Something to watch for the Titans is the possibility that they re-sign WR Austin Proehl, who was released to make room for Stringfellow a few days ago.

The Titans’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. LB Robert Spillane
  2. RB Dalyn Dawkins
  3. DB Josh Kalu
  4. DB Damon Webb
  5. OT Tyler Marz
  6. TE Jerome Cunningham
  7. QB Logan Woodside
  8. OL Coleman Shelton
  9. DL Deon Simon

Stringfellow, 23, originally signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss back in May of last year. Miami cut him loose as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Jets.

The Seahawks signed Stringfellow to a contract back in May, but he was waived coming out of the preseason. The Titans just recently signed him to a contract.

During his three-year college career, Stringfellow recorded 102 receptions for 1,478 yards receiving (14.5 YPC) and 12 touchdowns.
