Titans Remain In Contact With Free Agent OLB Erik Walden

Terry McCormick of TitanInsider.com reports that the Titans still have free agent linebacker Erik Walden on their radar three months after he visited with the team.

According to McCormick, the Titans remain in contact on Walden along with a few other teams. McCormick adds that Walden could take a visit to another club at some point in the next week, as he sorts out his available options.

Outside of his visit to Tennessee, there hasn’t been any reported interest in Walden, even though he’s one of the best available pass rushers.

Walden, 31, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2008. He lasted just a few months in Dallas before he was waived at the start of the 2008 season and later claimed off of waivers by the Chiefs.

Walden eventually ended up in Miami where he played two seasons before the Packers signed him to a contract in 2010. After three years in Green Bay, Walden departed for a four-year, $16,000,000 contract with the Colts.

In 2016, Walden appeared in all 16 games for the Colts and recorded 42 tackles, 11 sacks, and three forced fumbles. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 104 pass rusher out of 109 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
