Titans Remain Open To Signing John Abraham?

John Glennon of the Nashville Tennessean reports that the Titans remains in touch with free agent DE John Abraham.

The Titans reportedly want to add another veteran presence next to Kamerion Wimbley, but at age 35, Abraham’s effectiveness was reduced to a situational pass rusher last season.

The Titans are currently looking to add a situational pass rusher to supplement Wimbley and youngster Derrick Morgan since both were highly effective last season.  However, Abraham wants to be signed as a full time player rather than a rotational player which may be why he left without a contract offer after his visit.

The Titans previously brought in DL Israel Idonije for a visit but also left without a contract.  Idonije may be the more likely option since he may be more likely to accept a situational role on the team.
