According to Jason Fitzgerald of OverTheCap.com, the Titans restructured the contract of TE Craig Stevens on Monday.
- Fitzgerald mentions that Stevens new contract is a two-year agreement worth $5.2 million.
- Stevens’ 2014 salary of $3.4 million has been reduced by $1.7 million and includes $100,000 available in roster bonuses, according to Fitzgerald.
- He’ll receive $500,000 guaranteed in this new agreement.
Stevens, 29, was entering the third year of his four-year, $14.4 million contract that included $4 million guaranteed.
Last year, Stevens appeared in 15 games for the Titans, but only caught two passes for five yards. However, he has been a very effective blocking tight end for Tennessee.
Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 16 overall tight end and the No. 3 run-blocking tight end in the league last year.
