Titans Rumors: Cortland Finnegan, Barrett Ruud, Dave Ball

Cortland Finnegan

Jim Wyatt of the Nashville Tennessean reports that the Titans have still yet to discuss their plans with Cortland Finnegan in regards to their franchise tag.

Yesterday, there were some conflicting reports about the team’s plans for their franchise tag but ESPN’s Adam Schefter insisted that they wouldn’t be applying their tag to Finnegan.

It still seems very likely that Finnegan will be available in the few weeks.

Barrett Ruud

In the same report, Wyatt writes that Titans will most likely allow MLB Barrett Ruud to leave after one year with the team.

Ruud insists that he’s not considering retirement despite his poor season in Tennessee where he was supplanted by rookie LB Colin McCarthy.

Dave Ball

Titans DE Dave Ball addressed his concussion history by mentioning that he’s optimistic that it would be an issue moving forward.

After I was able to play the rest of the season after those concussion issues, and was able to be fine, (retirement isn’t) something I thought about much more,” Ball said, via Nashville Tennessean. “I just know now I am feeling good, feeling healthy, and feeling like I am ready to contribute again somewhere.

Ball mentions that he would like be back in Tennessee next season but is willing to test the open market if needed.
