Titans Second-Round OLB Kevin Dodd Will Miss OTAs After Foot Surgery

Titans HC Mike Mularkey announced that second-round OLB Kevin Dodd underwent preventative surgery on his right foot Thursday and will miss OTAs, per Jason Wolf.

However, the expectation is that Dodd will be back for the start of training camp.

Titans DC Dick LeBeau said he has been pleased with Dodd’s performance in offseason workouts up to his point and is anxious to get him back, per Terry McCormick.

Dodd, 22, was taken with the No. 32 overall pick by the Titans. At the start of day two, reports indicated that teams including the Cowboys were trying to trade up for pass rushers including Dodd. However, the Titans elected to stay where they were and grab another edge rusher for their defense.

Dodd is one of two unsigned draft picks for the Titans, but it’s likely that they’ll have him under contract in the next week or so.

During his four-year college career at Clemson, Dodd recorded 82 tackles, 26.5 tackles for a loss, 12.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and a recovery.
