Titans Sign LB Will Compton To One-Year Deal Worth Up To $2M

The Tennessee Titans announced Monday that they’ve agreed to terms with former Redskins LB Will Compton.

  • According to John Keim, Compton gets a one-year contract worth up to $2 million. The deal includes a $250,000 signing bonus.

This offseason, Compton visited with the Bills and Titans. However, it appears as though his best opportunity was to join the Titans for the 2018 season.

Compton, 28, signed on with the Redskins as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska back in 2013. However, the team waived him shortly after and signed him to their practice squad once he cleared waivers.

The Redskins promoted him to their active roster at the end of the 2013 season and he’s spent the past four years on the 53-man unit.

In 2017, Compton appeared in nine games for the Redskins and recorded 19 tackles, one interception, and three pass defenses.
