Titans Sign TE Jerome Cunningham & LB Brandon Chubb, Cut TE Phillip Supernaw

The Tennessee Titans announced Tuesday that they’ve signed TE Jerome Cunningham and LB Brandon Chubb to contracts.

The Titans also waived TE Phillip Supernaw from injured reserve and placed LB Nate Palmer on injured reserve.

Cunningham, 27, originally signed on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Southern Connecticut Stat back in 2014. He was, unfortunately, unable to make the 53-man roster that year, but was later added to the Giants practice squad.

After a few years with the Giants, Cunningham was claimed off of waivers by the Jets to be cut loose a few days later.

The Titans claimed Cunningham off of waivers the following year and elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract. Unfortunately, he was waived at the start of the regular season and spent the year on and off of the Titans’ practice squad.

In 2015, Cunningham appeared nine games and recorded eight catches for 59 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
