Titans Sign TE Matthew Mulligan & Add QB Alex Tanney To Practice Squad

The Tennessee Titans announced a few roster moves on Tuesday including placing TE Brett Brackett on season-ending injured reserve and replacing him with veteran TE Matthew Mulligan.

  • The Titans also added QB Alex Tanney to their practice squad.

Mulligan, 29, was most recently with the Cardinals, but he didn’t play a single snap for Arizona this season.

He’s a well traveled blocking tight end, who has played for a number of teams during his time in the NFL including the Rams, Packers, Patriots, Dolphins, Jets, Titans, and Bears.

Last year, he appeared in 15 games and caught two passes for 16 yards receiving and a touchdown.

Tanney, 27, originally signed on with the Chiefs as an undrafted free agent out of Monmouth back in 2012. He’s had brief stints with the Cowboys, Browns and Buccaneers, but has yet to appear in an NFL game.
