Titans Sign Three Linebackers Including Deontae Skinner, Cut Three

The Tennessee Titans announced Tuesday that they’ve signed three linebackers including Nyles Morgan, Deontae Skinner and Jeff Knox to contracts.

The Titans also waived LB Brandon Chubb, LB Davond Dade and OL Matthew Diaz.

Skinner, 27, signed on with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State. He was on and off of the team’s practice squad and active roster for much of the 2014 season before New England brought him back on a future/reserve deal for the 2015 season.

Skinner spent a year with the Eagles before signing onto the Giants’ practice squad a few weeks into the regular season last year. He was on and off of the Giants’ active roster this season before signing on to the Raiders’ practice in October of last year.

New York brought him back a month later and he finished out the year with the Giants on their injured reserve list. The Giants waived Skinner back in February.

In 2017, Skinner appeared in three games and recorded two tackles.
