Titans Sign WR Rishard Matthews To A Three-Year, $15M Deal

Paul Kuharsky of ESPN reports that the Titans have reached an agreement with WR Rishard Matthews on a three-year deal.

  • Tom Pelissero reports that the Titans signed Matthews to a three-year, $15 million deal that will pay him $5M in 2016. The deal includes another $2.55M available in incentives.

Matthews reportedly had interest from the Patriots as well, but it looks like Tennessee managed to get him under contract.

Matthews, 26, played out the final year remaining on his four-year, $2,151,392 rookie contract and was among the best available receivers in this year’s free agent class.

In 2015, Matthews appeared in 11 games and caught 43 passes for 662 yards receiving and four touchdowns for the Dolphins. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 35 receiver out of 121 qualifying players.
