Titans Sign DE Claude Pelon, Place OL John Theus On NFI List

DEC Management announced that their client DE Claude Pelon has signed a contract with the Titans on Wednesday.

The Titans officially announced the move on Thursday and placed OL John Theus on the non-football injury list.

Pelon, 25, wound up signing on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of back in May of 2016. He was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to team’s practice squad at the start of the season.

The Jets brought Pelon back on a future/reserve contract last year and he managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason. However, he was later waived and re-signed to the Jets’ taxi squad.

Pelon once again returned to the Jets on a futures contract his past January before New York waived him with an injury designation last month. He was released with an injury settlement upon reverting to injured reserve.

In 2017, Pelon appeared in one game and has recorded two tackles and no sacks.
