Titans Sign LB Andy Studebaker, Waive WR Clyde Gates

Update:

The Tennessee Titans announced the signing of LB Andy Studebaker, as well as the release of WR Clyde Gates on Monday.

Gates, 29, is a former fourth round pick of the Dolphins back in 2011. He spent two years in Miami before he was waived a later claimed by the Jets.

The Titans elected to sign him to a future/reserve contract back in January.

Terry McCormick is reporting that the Tennessee Titans and LB Andy Studebaker have reached an agreement on a contract.

Studebaker, 29, is a former sixth-round pick of the Eagles back in 2008. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason and later signed a two-year agreement with the Chiefs in November of 2008.

Studebaker wound up spending five years in total with the Chiefs before joining the Colts in October of 2013.

Last year, Studebaker appeared in 13 games for the Colts and recorded 15 tackles, a forced fumble and a recovery.
