Titans Sign S Johnathan Cyprien To Four-Year, $25M Deal

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Titans are signing Jaguars free agent S Johnathan Cyprien to a contract.

  • According to Tom Pelissero, the Titans signed S Johnathan Cyprien to a four-year, $25 million contract that will pay him $7 million in year one of the agreement.

Cyprien, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2013. He played out his four-year, $5,469,104 contract with the Jaguars and is now in position to the test the free agent market as an unrestricted free agent for the first time in his career.

In 2016, Cyprien appeared in all 16 games for the Jaguars and recorded 127 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble, a recovery and four pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 7 safety out of 89 qualifying players.
