Titans Splitting Reps Evenly Between Jake Locker and Matt Hasselbeck

Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Munchak mentioned that he expects to evenly split reps between quarterbacks Jake Locker and Matt Hasselbeck until one of them is named the starter.

Going into that third game you would like to have an idea of what your plan is,” Munchak said, via the Nashville Tennessean. “I feel so good about both of them I am not necessarily leaning either way on it. I feel like either way it is going to be a good situation.”

Munchak expects to name the starter before the team’s third preseason game. A number of writers have mentioned that they’d be surprised to see Locker win the job, but you can’t discount the fact that he brings a much different skill set to the Titans offense. He actually looked pretty good in relief of Hasselbeck last season, so this should certainly be an interesting topic to follow in the coming months.
