Titans Targeting A CB In Round 1 & A QB In Round 2?

Peter King of MMQB.com mentions that he hadn’t heard much buzz regarding the Titans targeting a quarterback in this year’s draft until Sunday.

According to King, he’s now hearing that they are looking to get a cornerback in the first-round and quarterback in round two.

Previous reports have said that Tennessee really like Fresno State QB Derek Carr, but there has been some buzz that interested teams may have to trade back into round one to get him.

The Titans have visited with or worked some mid-round prospects including Carr, Jimmy Garoppolo (Eastern Illinois), Aaron Murray (Georgia),
Zach Mettenberger (LSU).

As for cornerbacks in round one, a number of guys could be in play for them at No. 11 overall. You could make a case for Darqueze Dennard (Michigan State), Justin Gilbert (Oklahoma State), and Kyle Fuller (Virginia Tech) all going that early.

We have the Titans taking Dennard in the first round of our recently updated 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
