Titans Waive DE Jimmy Staten & RB Joe Bacci From IR With Settlements

The Tennessee Titans officially waived RB Joe Bacci and DE Jimmy Staten from injured reserve with settlements on Monday.

  • The Titans also signed TE Tim Semisch to their practice squad and released TE Jerome Cunningham from the unit.

Staten, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Seahawks back in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was unable to make the team’s 53-man roster but was later added to their practice squad. Seattle elected to bring him back on a future/reserve contract only to waive him soon after.

Staten has had brief stints with the Giants, Patriots and Chiefs before he caught on with the Bears a few weeks into the regular season. He was one and off of the Bears’ practice squad for much of the season before eventually signing on to the Falcons’ practice squad in January.

Atlanta brought Staten back on a future/reserve contract soon after only to cut him loose in April. Staten later caught on with the Titans after this year’s draft but was placed on injured reserve coming out of the preseason.

Staten has yet to appear in an NFL game.
