Titans Waive G Sebastian Tretola & LB Johnny Ragin III

The Tennessee Titans announced that they’ve placed G Sebastian Tretola and LB Johnny Ragin III on waivers Friday and signed G Jake Simonich to a contract.

Tretola has been involved in a few off-the-field situations this offseason including a recent shooting in which he was “grazed” by a bullet.

The Titans confirmed the news in a statement released this afternoon:

We are aware of the reports that [Tretola] received treatment for a wound when he was grazed by a bullet. He has been released from the hospital and is thankful for only a minor injury.”

According to Nate Kuester, the shooting took place in Fayetteville, Arkansas and Tretola was hit in the ankle and leg.

Tretola was also involved in the alleged assault of a man in a Nashville bar along with Titans WR Tajae Sharpe.

Tretola, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Titans back in 2016. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2.47 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $540,000 and $630,000 over the next two years of the agreement.

In 2016, Tretola appeared in one game for the Titans.
