Titans Waive TE Chase Coffman, Promote WR Rico Richardson

The Tennessee Titans placed TE Chase Coffman on waivers Saturday and promoted WR Rico Richardson to their active roster, per Jim Wyatt.

The Titans have been flipping Coffman and Richardson on and off of their active roster for the past few weeks, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.

Coffman, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals. He lasted a little over three years in Cincinnati before he later caught on with Falcons in 2012.

Coffman spent two years with the Falcons before he later signed on with the Titans as an unrestricted free agent in August of last year. However, he was released at the start of the regular before Tennessee elected to bring him back a few days later.

This season, Coffman has appeared in one game and caught four passes for 42 yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Titans.
