Titans Waive WR Bra’Lon Cherry

The Tennessee Titans announced Monday that they’ve placed rookie WR Bra’Lon Cherry on waivers.

This move is likely to create a roster spot for newly signed WR Eric Decker, who agreed to a one-year contract with the Titans Sunday night.

Cherry wound up signing on with the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina State a few months ago. This was his first opportunity with an NFL team.

During his four-year college career at North Carolina State, Cherry caught 87 passes for 1,144 yards receiving and six touchdowns over the course of 44 games. He also contributed 535 punt return yards and another 356 kick return yards and one touchdown.
