Titans Worked Out Seven Players Including QB Paxton Lynch

According to Howard Balzer, the Tennessee Titans brought in seven free agents for workouts this week including QB Paxton Lynch and TE Ben Koyack.

The full list of tryouts for the Titans includes:

  1. LB Vontarrius Dora
  2. LB Gimel President
  3. TE Ben Koyack
  4. TE Khari Lee
  5. QB Paxton Lynch
  6. DT Vincent Valentine
  7. RB Ralph Webb

Lynch, 24, was taken with the No. 26 overall pick after the Broncos traded up from No. 31 overall to get him in 2016 NFL Draft. Lynch signed a four-year, $9.4 million contract that includes $7.88 guaranteed and was set to make a base salary of $1.31 million this season when the Broncos waived him coming out of the preseason.

He has worked out for several teams since becoming a free agent including the Seahawks, Jaguars, Bills, Lions, Eagles, Buccaneers and Redskins. 

In 2017, Lynch appeared in two games for the Broncos and completed 66.7 percent of his passes to go along with two touchdowns and three interceptions. He also rushed for 30 yards.

Koyack, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2015. He was waived a few months later and signed to the Jaguars practice squad.

Jacksonville brought Koyack back on a futures contract the following season and he managed to make the 53-man roster each of the past two years.

Koyack was re-signed to a one-year exclusive rights contract but was released prior to Week 1.

In 2017, Koyack appeared in 16 games for the Jaguars and caught five passes for 38 yards receiving and no touchdowns. Pro Football Focus had him rated as the No. 35 tight end out of 71 qualifying players.
