Titans WR Kendall Wright Has Sprained Knee, Not Torn ACL

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Titans WR Kendall Wright did not tear his ACL and has only kneeĀ sprain.

Initial reports had suggested that the second-year wide receiver might have torn his ACL during Saturday’s game against the Bengals. However, an MRI showed that the former Baylor Bear had suffered a sprain on his right knee.

The news comes as a huge sigh of relief for both the player and the team as an ACL would have undoubtedly knocked Wright outĀ for the entire year.

Wright is expected to miss the rest of the team’s preseason action, but should be able to return before or by the start of Week 1.
