Todd Haley Prices Himself Out Of Cardinals HC Job?

Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that Steelers OC Todd Haley set the asking price “very high” for the Cardinals job because he’s comfortable with his offensive coordinator position with the Steelers.

This strategy has essentially removed him from consideration for the job and will probably result in him being back with the Steelers next season. Haley was obviously looking for an offer he can’t refuse, but there’s no way the Cardinals were going to offer him such a deal, considering that they’re still paying Ken Whisenhunt.

Arizona lost Mike McCoy to the Chargers today, so it appears as though defensive coordinator Ray Horton is currently the favorite for the job with Lovie Smith and Bengals OC Jay Gruden in consideration.
