Tom Brady’s New Deal In The Works?

It looks like the Patriots are ready to commit to the best player in their franchises history by signing Tom Brady to long-term deal.

Boston Herald is reporting via Karen Guregian and Ron Borges that a deal between Brady and the Patriots appears to be “imminent.”

Brady and Patriots owner, Robert Kraft, supposedly spent time in Cape Cod this weekend which may have led to the progress.

The contract is said to be a three-year, $58 million extension that would leave his 2010 salary at $6.5 million while adding the addition money to his current deal, bringing the total to $64.5 million.

There have been a few reports that this deal could be held up but things appear to really close so I’m sure that we’ll get conformation by the end of the day.
