Mike Garafolo reports that the trade between the 49ers and Seahawks that sent S L.J. McCray to Seattle for a conditional 2018 seventh-round pick is off after he failed a physical for the team.
McCray will instead revert back to the 49ers.
The 49ers announced Saturday that they’ve traded S L.J. McCray to the Seahawks.
San Francisco receives a conditional 2018 seventh-round pick from Seattle, as part of this deal.
McCray, 25, wound up signing on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Catawba back in May of 2014. He’s in the final year of his contract and stands to make a base salary of $600,000 for the 2016 season before becoming a restricted free agent.
In 2015, McCray recorded five tackles over the course of eight games.
