TRADE: Browns Trading TE Randall Telfer To Chiefs For LB Dadi Nicolas

Field Yates of ESPN reports that the Browns are trading TE Randall Telfer to the Chiefs for LB Dadi Nicolas.

The Chiefs already have announced the trade:

Last week, Nate Ulrich of Ohio.com reported that the Browns were fielding trade offers for CB Jamar Taylor and Telfer ahead of the 2018 draft, so this doesn’t come as a huge surprise.

Telfer, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Browns back in 2015. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $2,397,536 contract and stands to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.

In 2017, Telfer appeared in all 16 games for the Browns and caught three passes for 36 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Nicolas, 25, was taken in the sixth-round of this year’s NFL draft by the Chiefs. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $2.49 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $630,000 and $720,000  over the next two years.

In 2016, Nicolas appeared in 10 games for the Chiefs and recorded one pass defense and no tackles.
