TRADE: Chargers Trade WR Dontrelle Inman To Bears For Conditional 7th-Rd Pick

Adam Schefter is reporting that the Chargers have traded WR Dontrelle Inman to the Bears for a conditional seventh-round pick.

  • Schefter adds that this pick is conditional and based on Inman production this season.

The Bears are clearly in need of a receiver help and it appears as though they’re willing to take a low-risk flyer on Inman to see what he can do with an extended opportunity.

Inman, 28, originally signed on with the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia back in 2011. Jacksonville decided to waive him shortly afterward and he remained unsigned before joining the Chargers in 2014.

The Chargers re-signed Inman to a one-year restricted deal worth $2.746 million this past April. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent in 2018.

In 2017, Inman has appeared in four games and caught two passes for nine yards receiving and no touchdowns for the Chargers.
