TRADE: Chiefs Trade CB Marcus Cooper To Cardinals For Conditional 2018 7th-Rd Pick

The Kansas City Chiefs announced Friday that they’ve traded CB Marcus Cooper to the Cardinals in return for an undisclosed draft pick.

  • The Chiefs receive a conditional 2018 seventh-round pick from the Cardinals for Cooper.

Cooper,26, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2013. He was unfortunately unable to make the 49ers’ 53-man roster during his rookie season, but was later claimed off of waivers by the Chiefs.

Cooper is in the final year of his  four-year, $2.205 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $675,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Cooper appeared in nine games for the Chiefs and recorded two tackles and no interceptions.
