Trade Details: Bills Trade Up For QB Josh Allen

Here’s the break down for the Bills’ trade with the Buccaneers to select QB Josh Allen.

Bills

  • Wyoming QB Josh Allen, No. 7 overall.
  • No. 255 overall pick.

Buccaneers

  • No. 12 overall pick.
  • No. 53 overall pick.
  • No. 56 overall pick.

The Bills had a trade agreement with the Broncos to move up to No. 5 overall but wound up drafting N.C. State DE Bradley Chubb after the Browns drafted Ohio State CB Denzel Ward.

Allen, 21, has an impressive arm and overall skill set, but there are concerns about his accuracy and how this will impact him at the next level. He was among the consensus top-four quarterbacks available int he 2018 NFL Draft and was rumored to go as high as No. 1 to the Browns.

During his college career at Wyoming, Allen threw for 4,912 yards while completing 56.2 percent of his passes to go along with 41 touchdowns 21 interceptions over the course of 26 games. He also rushed for 770 yards and 12 touchdowns for Wyoming.
