Trade Details For Dolphins’ Move To Select Utah OL Isaac Asiata

The Miami Dolphins traded up with the Eagles in round five of the draft to select Utah OL Isaac Asiata with the No. 164 overall pick.

Dolphins receive:

  • 2017 fifth-round pick (No. 164): Utah OL Isaac Asiata
  • 2017 sixth-round pick (No. 194)

Eagles receive:

  • 2017 fifth-round pick (No. 166): West Virginia WR Shelton Gibson
  • 2017 fifth-round pick (No. 184)

Asiata, 24, is a two-time all-conference offensive guard won the Pac-12’s 2016 Morris Award for being the best offensie lineman in the conference. He was also named to the Associated Press All-Bowl team and earned second-team All-Pac 12 honors last season.

During his four years at Utah, Asiata started all four years and appeared in 45 games. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 11 guard prospect and No. 203 player overall.
