Trade Details For Falcons’ Trade Up For DE Takk McKinley

The Atlanta Falcons traded up for the No. 26 overall pick from the Seahawks to select UCLA DE/OLB Takk McKinley.

Falcons receive:

  • 2017 first-round pick (No. 26): Takkarist McKinley

Seahawks receive:

  • 2017 first-round pick (No. 31): Traded to 49ers
  • 2017 third-round pick (No. 95):
  • 2017 seventh-round pick (No. 249):

Rumors had been circulating for a few weeks now that the Falcons were interested in trading up for a pass rusher. There was even some talk that they were interested in Ole Miss TE Evan Ingram, but Atlanta elected to jump in front of the Cowboys, Packers and Steelers to get their preferred pass rusher.

Over the course of his three-year college career at UCLA, McKinley recorded 99 total tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, 10 pass defenses, one fumble recovery, and six forced fumbles.
