TRADE: Panthers Trade WR Kaelin Clay & 2019 7th-Rd Pick To Bills For CB Kevon Seymour

The Buffalo Bills announced that they have acquired WR Kaelin Clay and a 2019 seventh-round pick from the Panthers on Saturday in exchange for CB Kevon Seymour.

Clay, 25, is a former sixth-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2015. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later signed to the Bucs’ practice squad. After a brief stint with the Lions, the Ravens signed him to their active roster and brought him back on an exclusive rights contract last year.

The Ravens waived Clay in August of last year with an injury designation and later cut him loose from injured reserve. Carolina signed him to a contract back in April.

In 2015, Clay appeared in seven games for the Ravens and totaled 343 kick return yards to go along with 244 punt return yards and a touchdown.

Seymour, 23, is a former sixth-round pick out of USC by the Bills in the 2016 NFL Draft. He is entering the second year of a four-year, $2.44 million rookie contract and is set to make a base salary of $540,000 in 2017.

In 2016, Seymour appeared in 15 games for the Bills and recorded 22 total tackles and three pass defenses.
